As a solo practitioner, I can offer you competitive rates and personal service. You will not have to email secretaries, personal assistants, and paralegals to get the assistance or answers you are looking for. I can offer more affordable rates, either on a flat-fee or hourly basis, than large firms with high overhead.

Melanie opened her own firm in 2015 after having her first child so she could work and spend time with her son. Several years and another child later, Melanie is enjoying helping others with their estate planning and business needs with her new perspective as a wife and mother. Melanie enjoys, and is well versed in, helping people protect their assets,  families, and businesses.

Melanie earned her law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2011. Her concentration in law school was transactional business practice and civil trial advocacy. During law school Melanie was a clerk for a litigation firm and served as a mediator in the Houston metropolitan area.

After graduation, she moved to Northern Virginia with her husband and began practicing law. Melanie is licensed in both Maryland and Virginia. Melanie’s primary fields of practice are estate planning (wills, trusts, power of attorney, etc.) and business law (business formation, contracts, copyrights, and trademarks). Melanie has handled complex business litigation cases and will disputes and has been helping clients form their own businesses for years.

Serving all of Northern Virginia, including, Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and Prince William County.
